Fibre-optic connector offers high packing density
Huber and Suhner has launched an LC fibre-optic connector combining high packing density and easy installation for the datacoms and telecoms industries.
The LC-HQ connector is compatible with and has the qualities of the LC connector but incorporates the ease-of-use push-pull technology of earlier, traditional SC fibre-optic connectors.
The company's product designers recognised that, while the small form factor LC connector provided the datacoms and telecoms industries with a high-performance fibre-optic connector, its locking key design made it difficult to stack them side by side and achieve a high packing density.
As a result, Huber and Suhner developed the LC-HQ push-pull fibre-optic connector range, which is fully compliant with IEC 61754-20 and TIA 604-10-A.
The range comprises colour-coded single-mode PC, single-mode APC and multimode/OM3 connector types with a push-pull mechanism for easy installation and high packing density.
