OPTICIS UNVEILS SFP LC TYPE OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER
April 10, 2011Opticis Co., Ltd., Seoul, South Korea, a provider of optical extension cables and transceivers, has introduced its 2.5Gbps Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) LC type optical transceiver, the M3-250-PAT, to customers worldwide.
Fujikura Developed Compact SFP (C-SFP) Optical Transceiver
April 10, 2011Working together with NEC Corporation, eGtran Corporation, and NeoPhotonics Corporation, Fujikura is contributing to developing the specifications of the Compact Small Form-Factor Pluggable Multi-Source Agreement (CSFP MSA). C-SFP MSA is a standard for a single fiber bi-directional optical transceiver, and Fujikura's expertise, gained through its history of developing optical transceivers for use in telecommunication equipment, will be utilized during our participation. Expectations for a compact SFP optical transceiver run high, particularly in markets where the need for downsizing optical transceivers is strong, such as those for optical access systems that connect subscribers and operator offices using Point-to-Point. There are two types of compact SFP optical transceiver: the single-channel model and the dual-channel model.
